I'm Dirty Lola, and today I'm teaching our Get Sprung (in honor of spring) class, which is where we talk about rabbits (vibrators, of course), eggs (Tenga eggs and yoni eggs), and bunnies (cute little bunny butt plugs, in this case)!

I'm going to start out with rabbits. To give you a little background, “rabbit” style toys are called rabbit style toys because, when they first came out, they had little bunny faces on the clitoral stimulator nubs. That is because in China and Japan sex toys are very heavily restricted, and regulations dictate that all toys have to have a face of some kind on them. Today, rabbit style vibrators are made by just about every sex toy company, and you'll still see some designs which have the classic rabbit face, but you’ll also see rabbit style designs in just about every color and style imaginable.
There's even a bullet shaped like a bunny!
The term “rabbit,” when it comes to sex toys, has evolved to mean any toy that has a penetrative piece and a clitoral stimulation piece on the same toy. This tends to be consistent across all toy brands. These dual stimulation toys can look a lot alike at first glance, but there is actually a lot of variety in rabbit style toys. We carry a lot of different styles here at SHAG, but I'm going to show you just a handful just to give you an idea of what's out there.
Let’s start with these two, which do look very much alike. You might wonder if they are the interchangeable, or even the exact same, or how you could possibly pick between them. The answer to the first question is: no, these are not interchangeable. These two rabbits actually have two different style clitoral nubs. They're two different lengths. Which one works best for you will depend on your anatomy and your preferences. Maybe you need something shorter, or maybe you want something a little longer. Both of these feature nice little curves on their penetrative pieces, which means that either is suitable for G-spot fun. These two curved arms have slightly different shapes, though, which will, of course, feel different upon penetration. Both of the clitoral nubs are made of flexible material, but these, two, are slightly different in shape.
When you're shopping for a rabbit, and you look at the toy's shape, size, and material, you want to consider what sensations you enjoy most. Are you someone who has a more shallow vaginal canal? Are you planning to use the toy anally? Some people certainly do that! How much length do you want, and how much girth? Anally, you might prefer something smaller – or you might not! I don’t know your butt. And you’ll notice that one of these toys includes a sort of bonus perineum stimulator that the other does not have. If you do not want your perineum touched, you should avoid the toy that will reach there.
The great thing about both of these rabbit options is that the clitoral arms are flexible. This is wonderful because everyone has a different distance between their vaginal opening and their clitoris. These differences might be minute, but they can mean the difference between having the toy work very well for you, hitting right where you want it, and having it just not work for you at all, missing your clitoris, g-spot, or other pleasure point entirely. Having a toy made of flexible material means that you can insert it internally and then, from there, adjust the clitoral arm as needed. We also have rabbits that are not flexible, that are a little more stiff and static, and that might be your jam if you know from experience what shape is for you!
Whatever your preference, we have a rabbit for you. For example, here’s a toy that both thrusts and spins. The spinning is going to feel really great at your vaginal opening, but the toy can also, simultaneously, be thrusting, if you want it to. There are multiple motors, and you can control them independently. There's so much vibration happening, it's basically a roller coaster ride for your vagina. For some people, that is too much, but for others, that is just exactly what they are looking for. We have so many styles and rabbit choices, because everyone is different. People do come in and ask why we carry so many options, and the answer is that we need toys that please the wide variety of shapes and sizes in the human body. We are all shaped differently, inside and out. We're not all the same size internally, vaginally or anally, length or girth. We also all like different things.
Toy shopping involves really thinking about what you might enjoy. If you don’t know, we can talk you through it and, of course, help you find something that might work for a few different scenarios and options. Then, you go home and try it, and you will learn how it works best for you and when or how it doesn’t quite hit the spot. As we always say to everybody, you can own more than one sex toy! It's allowed.
This particular style is a more recent addition to the rabbit style options. It's a combination of penetrative toy and air pulse pleasure type toy. Rather than clitoral vibration, you get clitoral air suction with your penetration. This does mean that you may have to keep the toy rather steady if you’re looking to maintain the steady air pulse suction connection on your clitoris. It is a flexy toy, though, so you can move it somewhat to target the G-spot while keeping the air pulse connection; you just might not be able to do rapid thrusting while maintaining clitoral suction. There really are so many options to consider, which is why we are always happy to help!
